Cointreau and Isle Saint-Aubain

Cointreau is an alcohol that is pretty much just REALLY nice Triple Sec. 

But it is solely made in Angers, all 13 million bottles a year. 

And the good ol' US of A is the top importer of the stuff, because it is in Cosmopolitans, as made famous by Sex and the City, as I was told. 

But the factory is in Angers, so we had an excursion there... at 10am. 

I've never drank so early in the day before. 

We did the tour....

and then got to try some drinks! 

And then bought some Cointreau.
